Community Guidelines and Prohibited Services

Xcrow.co is intended for professional, lawful and respectful collaboration between employers, clients and freelancers. These guidelines apply to accounts, profiles, listings, proposals, messages, files, reviews, projects and other user activity.

Expected behaviour

  • Provide accurate identity, skills, experience, availability, pricing and portfolio information.
  • Communicate respectfully and keep agreements, approvals, feedback and scope changes clear.
  • Deliver original work or work that you are authorised to use, and disclose relevant third-party materials or licences.
  • Respect privacy, confidentiality, copyright, trademarks and other intellectual-property rights.
  • Use the platform’s project and payment processes where applicable, and do not pressure others to bypass platform rules.
  • Report suspicious accounts, scams, copied work, abuse, discrimination, unsafe requests and policy violations.

Prohibited services and activity

  • Fraud, impersonation, identity theft, money laundering, sanctions evasion or deceptive payment activity.
  • Malware, hacking, credential theft, phishing, spam, unauthorised access or instructions intended to compromise systems.
  • Copyright infringement, plagiarism, counterfeit goods, stolen accounts or unauthorised use of personal data.
  • Fake reviews, fabricated credentials, misleading advertising, deceptive claims or undisclosed material conflicts.
  • Illegal goods or services, exploitation, threats, harassment, discrimination, abusive content or sexual services involving exploitation.
  • Requests to create or distribute harmful, unlawful or deceptive content, or to evade applicable laws or platform safeguards.
  • Attempts to manipulate payments, escrow, referrals, ratings, reviews, search rankings or advertising.
  • Publishing passwords, payment credentials, private customer data, confidential documents or sensitive personal information.

Listings and project requirements

Listings and project briefs must describe lawful work accurately and include realistic expectations. Users should not request unpaid trial work, ask for work outside the agreed scope without agreement, or promise outcomes that cannot reasonably be supported.

Intellectual property and privacy

Users are responsible for having permission to upload, share or sell content. Do not share another person’s personal information, confidential material or account access without authorisation. Use only portfolio examples and testimonials that you have the right to use.

Safety and reporting

If a request appears illegal, fraudulent, unsafe, abusive or inconsistent with these guidelines, stop the interaction where appropriate and report it. Include the account or listing details, relevant project information, a description of the concern and supporting evidence. Do not send passwords, full payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information in a report.

Moderation and enforcement

Xcrow.co may review reports and activity, request information, restrict visibility, remove content, limit account features, delay or cancel transactions, suspend or terminate accounts, and preserve records where reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, security, legal compliance or platform integrity. Enforcement may consider the seriousness, frequency and context of conduct. We do not guarantee that every report will result in a particular action or outcome.
